Part 2 - Gripe Water
Wiggles and Giggles |
No Strangers to Mindy |
Taken Through a Ziplock Bag. Not willing to get the camera wet again. We got a quick update on the upcoming slalom course, so Doug was trying out backwards moves. |
Hot Work Loading Up |
Sunburn on the top of the feet means your son is willing to wear Mom's flip flops. This is not an every day occasion, only partly due to the poor fit! |
Suit Yourself! |
Pictures are all from my cameras although I didn't manage to get them all identified.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing to catch all these great photos of the livin' going on last weekend. What a great time you must have had. Love your quotes, captions, photos, memories. All of it. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you! *Bowing*. I know you are not sold on the river rafting, but I sort of wish I had held back and gone to shore to take some pictures as they went through the chute at Coulter Falls! I can't even explain it - awesome ride and colors, felt a bit breathless and excited watching the kids go through such rapids! Feel thankful to have done it and survived it which is a big deal to me, but isn't a big deal, really, I suppose. It really is so much fun, and the rapids are fairly manageable when you follow simple instructions. Nothing much like Hell or High Water: Surviving Tibet's Tsangpo River, I would guess. (Audio book Mindy recommends, saying it got her heart rate pumped up.)
ReplyDeleteThat pic of Donovan lagging behind made me giggle. My own kids have done this before, and me too, I'm sure. We raise such strong-willed children. If my experience is any judge, there were some times when he was running ahead as well.
ReplyDeleteOooh ouch! Sunburns. And on the top of feet no less. Sorry cuz'! I am as white as ever except for a pink tinge on the top of my chest, due to avoiding the sun like a plague (most of the time). But my girls are brown as Indians, due to being in the sun much of every day. Thank goodness they inherited their dad's skin tone and not my own.
Mom has loads of pictures of our activities the past couple weeks (so you can see our painting projects and my brown girls). I'm eagerly looking forward to her blog updates whenever that happens.
Love LW in SE WA
So glad to see more memories being made!
