Frosty Morn ~ January 2011

When I started snapping pictures of this sunshiny
moment, I wasn't sure what to
expect. I liked the overwhelming light infusion here. Too
bad the poor plant
looks so thirsty.

I came out of Home Depot in Helena, running an errand for parts. I caught my breath when I saw the sky. If God was passing judgement on this seemingly ordinary day with a spectacular sunset, then I thought I should to take a few moments to appreciate it. |

Sunrise Boulder Ave
This was taken on a Sunday morning. We had gone to Helena to clean out the renter's garage. It's in an older part of town with old buildings that have a lot of character. The garage project was a terrible mess and took two weekend trips to Helena to complete. I made trip after trip to Helena Industries and the Salvation Army, unloading bag after bag of clothing, furniture, mattresses and books.
We had camped out on the floor of the rental overnight, and didn't have furniture, so I meandered outside while my hair was drying. The sun was coming up brightly, the air was refreshing, and this bright old truck parked by the old garage seemed especially picturesque against the backdrop of the green leaves. It seemed to me a colorful addition to the quiet anticipation of the approaching hour of worship.

A smiling welcome to Arizona. |
August
Yes, this was Chandler, Arizona.
Yes, we were painting
Duane's house in the heat of the day.
Yes, we were thankful that
it was only 100 degrees
outside that week.

Wishing you a happy, healthy, 2012!
